2014 T Of C Roundup #212/8/2013 Winter weather impacted a number of 2014 T Of C participants this past week.
Springfield(MO) Kickapoo was going to face defending Oklahoma Class 5 State Champion Tulsa Memorial in the first round of the Fayetteville(AR) Bulldog Classic, but that tournament was cancelled. Current plans call for the event to be played January 2nd-4th, 2014. Kickapoo still hasn't played a game so far this season. Willard(MO) managed to get two games in as their Four State Classic was altered due to the weather conditions. The Tigers(3-0) defeated Springdale(AR) Har-Ber 55-40 and Fort Scott(KS) 62-30. Memphis(TN) White Station's contest against Dallas(TX) Prime Prep at the Marshall County Hoopfest was called off because White Station couldn't travel. The Spartans(4-0) defeated local rival Ridgeway(TN) 67-59 earlier in the week. Middle Village(NY) Christ the King opened its season with a solid 62-43 victory over Bronx(NY) Fordham Prep. Montverde(6-0) rolled in two wins this week over Lakewood (91-73) and Deerfield Beach (91-56). Sun Valley(CA) Village Christian won the Burbank Tournament to start its season on the right foot. The Crusaders(4-0) captured the title with four landslide wins against local opponents. Golden Valley (65-19), Glendale (75-33), Fulton College Prep (91-34), and Agoura (70-45). High Point(NC) Wesleyan Christian had one pretty convincing win this week over Charlotte(NC) Village Christian (86-69), but got a much closer victory over Arden(NC) Christ School (42-40). Fairfax(VA) Paul VI played twice and won twice this week. December fifth against Good Counsel (98-35) and December sixth versus Bishop Ireton (57-43).
