Springfield(MO) Kickapoo won the Blue Division of the 68th Annual Springfield(MO) Greenwood Blue & Gold Tournament. It's the eleventh Blue & Gold title for the Chiefs. They defeated Fair Grove(MO) 64-45, Marshfield(MO) 68-35, Logan-Rogersville(MO) 55-21, and topped fellow 2014 T Of C entrant Willard(MO) 47-39 to win their division of the tournament.

Willard(MO) also competed in the 68th Annual Blue & Gold Tournament finishing as runners-up to Springfield(MO) Kickapoo in the Blue Division. Before falling to the Chiefs 39-47 in the final, the Tigers bested Buffalo(MO) 65-16, Crane(MO) 57-45, and Ozark(MO) 71-55.

Middle Village(NY) Christ the King won the STOP-DWI Tournament in Binghamton, New York for the fourth time in the 22-year history of the event. The Royals took down Toronto(OT) St. Michael's College 70-68, Philadelphia(PA) MC&S 65-63 and (#8 in the Northeast region - Prep Nation) Brookville(NY) Long Island Lutheran 56-53 in the final.

Fairfax(VA) Paul VI didn't have a game this past week.

High Point(NC) Wesleyan Christian went from the east coast to the west coast in order to play in the Under Armour Holiday Classic held in California. The Trojans went 2-2 in the event as the injury bug has hit the team in recent weeks. They defeated Lakewood(CA) Mayfair 62-57 and Oakland(CA) Bishop O'Dowd 64-59, but fell to Chino Hills(CA) 44-64 and Westtown(PA) 61-64.

Sun Valley(CA) Village Christian took third place in the Hart(CA) Holiday Classic Tournament. They went 3-1 in the four-game event; beating Van Nuys(CA) Grant (82-54) & Glendale(CA) (69-53), but falling to Santa Maria(CA) Righetti (55-58), and defeating Palmdale(CA) Highland (76-67) for third place.

Montverde(FL) Academy captured yet another tournament title this week as they won the Wild Wings Cafe Hoop's Classic in Charlotte, NC. South Atlanta(GA) (98-39) and St. James(MD) (78-46) fell to the Eagles setting up a title match against 7th ranked (Prep Nation National Prep Poll) Charlotte(NC) Northside Christian, which the Eagles won 81-60.

Springfield(MO) Kickapoo picked up two non-conference victories over local Central Ozark Conference rivals Ozark(MO) 78-64 and previously undefeated Branson(MO) 63-50.

Willard(MO) was upended by the ninth ranked team in Missouri Class 4 Springfield(MO) Hillcrest 46-50, but came back with a dominating win over fellow Central Ozark Conference member Marshfield(MO) 66-24.

Middle Village(NY) Christ the King lost for the first time this season 48-69 to Bronx(NY) Cardinal Haynes.

Fairfax(VA) Paul VI made its way to Ft. Myers, Florida to compete in the City of Palms tournament. In advancing to the championship game, they defeated Miami(FL) Norland 81-53, Marietta(GA) Wheeler 62-46, and Chicago(IL) Whitney Young 57-52. Paul VI faced a familiar foe in the title game as Montverde(FL) once again stood in between them and a tournament title. Last season, Paul VI upset Montverde(FL) to capture the 2013 Bass Pro Shops Tournament Of Champions. However, in the rematch it was Monverde(FL) that came out on top 58-53.

High Point(NC) Wesleyan Christian traveled to Columbia, South Carolina to play in the Chick-Fil-A Classic where they went 2-1. The Crusaders fell to national power Oak Hill(VA) 46-70 in the first round, but rebounded with two wins over Columbia(SC) Spring Valley (61-53) and Baltimore(MD) St. Francis (73-40).

Sun Valley(CA) Village Christian won its only game of the week against Golden Valley 81-49.

Montverde(FL) Academy won the City of Palms tournament in Ft. Myers, FL getting a revenge victory over Fairfax(VA) Paul VI in the championship game 58-53. Paul VI had defeated Montverde to win the 2013 Bass Pro Shops Tournament Of Champions on a last second shot. Their other wins in the event were against Milton(GA) 77-42, Brooklyn(NY) Lincoln 74-70 in overtime, and Jacksonville(FL) Providence 58-51.

Memphis(TN) White Station flew all the way to Hawaii to win the Iolani Classic tournament championship by defeating Fuxin New Star (China) 61-46, Mt. Vernon(NY) 56-51, West Linn(OR) 66-54, and Los Angeles(CA) Westchester 65-41 in the title game.

Springfield(MO) Kickapoo finally opened its season with a 45-80 setback against a Blue Valley Northwest squad at the 'Ozark Mountain Shootout' hosted by Springfield(MO) Glendale High School. Blue Valley Northwest is ranked among top 25 teams in the nation by four different polling firms; USA Today Super 25, Student Sports FAB 50, MaxPreps Xcellent 25, and the National Prep Poll by Prep Nation. Winter weather had canceled or post-poned Kickapoo's first four games.

Willard(MO) competed at another "shootout" event, the 'Midwest Showdown' in St. Louis hosted by McCluer North High School. The Tigers defeated Jennings(MO) 47-41.

Middle Village(NY) Christ the King picked up two victories against Archbishop Stepinac (83-65)
and All Hallows (58-27).

Fairfax(VA) Paul VI got two big victories over regionally ranked teams. Montrose Christian (9th in the East Coast region by the National Prep Poll) fell to Paul VI 75-58 at the Nike Hoop Festival hosted by DeMatha High and (#4 in the East Coast region) Washington St. John's 71-51 earlier in the week.

High Point(NC) Wesleyan Christian overpowered local competition Victory Christian Center (79-65)
and North Raleigh Christian (83-53).

Sun Valley(CA) Village Christian had a single game this week against West Ranch and escaped with a one-point win (59-58).

Montverde(FL) Academy didn't play this past week.

Winter weather impacted a number of 2014 T Of C participants this past week.

Springfield(MO) Kickapoo was going to face defending Oklahoma Class 5 State Champion Tulsa Memorial in the first round of the Fayetteville(AR) Bulldog Classic, but that tournament was cancelled. Current plans call for the event to be played January 2nd-4th, 2014. Kickapoo still hasn't played a game so far this season.

Willard(MO) managed to get two games in as their Four State Classic was altered due to the weather conditions. The Tigers(3-0) defeated Springdale(AR) Har-Ber 55-40 and Fort Scott(KS) 62-30.

Memphis(TN) White Station's contest against Dallas(TX) Prime Prep at the Marshall County Hoopfest was called off because White Station couldn't travel. The Spartans(4-0) defeated local rival Ridgeway(TN) 67-59 earlier in the week.

Middle Village(NY) Christ the King opened its season with a solid 62-43 victory over Bronx(NY) Fordham Prep.

Montverde(6-0) rolled in two wins this week over Lakewood (91-73) and Deerfield Beach (91-56).

Sun Valley(CA) Village Christian won the Burbank Tournament to start its season on the right foot. The Crusaders(4-0) captured the title with four landslide wins against local opponents.  Golden Valley (65-19), Glendale (75-33), Fulton College Prep (91-34), and Agoura (70-45).

High Point(NC) Wesleyan Christian had one pretty convincing win this week over Charlotte(NC) Village Christian (86-69), but got a much closer victory over Arden(NC) Christ School (42-40).

Fairfax(VA) Paul VI played twice and won twice this week. December fifth against Good Counsel (98-35)
and December sixth versus Bishop Ireton (57-43).

Montverde(FL) has started the season 4-0 with dominating wins over Tift County(GA) 76-53, Norcross(GA) 84-47, Tampa(FL) Catholic 102-59, and Jacksonville(FL) Providence 79-54.

Memphis(TN) White Station is 3-0 after a 64-33 win last night over previously unbeaten DeSoto(TX) at the Lighthouse Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Corinth(MS) High School.

High Point(NC) Wesleyan Christian is 4-1 on the year with its only loss coming to another North Carolina private school powerhouse Charlotte(NC) Northside Christian 57-67 just before Thanksgiving.
